What a memorable night it was.. I don’t even know how to begin..
This was almost surreal. At least I personally felt numb the whole time. Quite an all star line up of artists coming all the way from LA, NY, Japan, France, Canada, and England… And lots of familiar faces from Blue Sky, Disney, Dreamworks, Lucasfilm, and Sony Picture Animations.
Many people did not imagine this was set up so beautifully. Food was great. Lots of great drinks like Sake and plum wines.. and of course.. ART WAS FANTASTIC!
We sold all 205 pieces of art work donated for this project. We made over $200,000 which actually was twice as much as we were shooting for. The energy was insane. A full of spirit of human generosity. People were really excited. People were really happy.
We shall continue with this journey.
This exhibition will be at Cartoon Art Museum from September 20th.
But for now, we would like to congratulate all the artists and people who supported this project.
than you everyone
What a turn out
People wait for the live auction to start
Indeed, Live Auction was quite a show by itself!
We are organizing all the photos for anyone to share. stay tuned!

holy (bleep)!!
This is awesome! Thanks so much to all you guys – certainly one of the funnest nights i’ve ever been part of. I was honored by the presence of all the amazing artists and volunteers who made it all happen.
[...] very happy that the auction raised over $200k for the Totoro Forest [...]
CONGRATULATIONS ALL AROUND!
You might not believe this … but I told someone late Saturday night that I thought the auction had raised about $200,000.
It’s so AWESOME that you topped $200,000 and still have some books to sell and a lengthy Cartoon Art Museum showing which will expose even more people to this worthy environmental preservation effort.
It’ll be interesting to see if TFP II performs like Toy Story 2 — a sequel that exceeded everyone’s expectations both artistically and commercially. I know several artists who missed an opportunity to participate this time and I bet many of them are hoping for another chance.
Yeah this was awesome and that is a lot of money!
Ma Doué Beniget !

CONGRATULATIONS, EVERYBODY ! You can be pround of you !
From France With Love,

Wow, that’s great. Do we know if someone like Steve Jobbs offered to match that amount? =D
Viva Totoro Forest Project!!!
I was honored to be able to help out in a small way with the silent auction. This is great news, everyone involved did such an amazing job — from the artists to the organizers/worker bees to all of the generous donors and everyone who contributed time and money to this great cause.
Well done everyone, Bravo!
