Artist File#6 ——- Tohru Patrick Awa

Posted on Sunday 17 August 2008

Here is another artist I want everyone in the world to know. Patrick Awa.

He is one of the most prolific concept artists I have ever met. You don’t hear too much about him because he for some reason, always picks the project that won’t get finished. So most of the times, he cannot show his beauuutiful concept art to public. It is absolutely a shame because he has done SO MANY quality work in the past!! (shhhhhhh, I was lucky enough to see lots of them!)

People know his work know the value of his work. In practically every charity auction Maverix Studios hosted, his piece always ended up being the highest bid piece.

This one is even more special I have to say.. It’s big!! —yep, he went a little over the size limit…. :)

“I think the lush forest always casts shadows and connotes opposite conceptions such as life, death and spirit equally under the branches. Hopefully we can spring out our branches of “Art” to recollect and hold respects in awe to “Nature” which comes from opposite in the origin of a word.” —Patrick Awa

Wow, thank you for the kind words everyone!
I feel very lucky to be invited to join along the side with many of these star artists who I truly admire, and I think the excitement made me go a little over the size limit accidentally(sorry about it *sniff*).
